Detailed itinerary for the 3 Days Chimpanzee tracking safari to Kibale forest Uganda primates tour
Day 1: Drive to Kibaale Forest National park.
This is the beginning of your chimpanzee tracking safari to Kibale Forest National Park. Our drive will pick you up from your place of residence at 6:30am, brief you about the safari and you start the 4-5hours journey to Kibale. Drive through Mubende to Fort Portal where you will have a lunch stop. This drive is a scenic drive so keep your camera besides you.
In the afternoon you opt for a visit to the crater lakes region for beautiful views of the regions. Get to see crater hollows, numerous beautiful craters and a view of the neighbouring Rwenzori Mountains and retire off the evening afterwards at your lodge. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Primate walk/Chimpanzee tracking day and Bigodi swamp walk
Wake up early morning for your breakfast before heading out to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing about chimp trekking. Your oriented about the dos and don’ts of the activity, give a habituated chimpanzee community and allocated a ranger guide for your group. Head out into Kibale forest to search for the chimpanzees. The search is always exciting since you get the opportunity to see other primates, colourful butterflies, sounds of birds such as the African and green –breasted pittas, western green tinker bird, African parrot and on finding the chimpanzees, you don’t want to miss out on every small detail, you’re allowed one hour with them, see young ones playing, mothers feeding their babies, listen to pant hooting, witness chimps as they hunt and feed , this hour will pass without you even realizing it was 60 minutes.
Come back for lunch and embark on your another exciting walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary, excepting to see lots a birdlife, the swamp lover sitatunga antelope, life of the people leaving around the swamp community and retire off your evening with a dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kampala and end of your 3 days Chimpanzee tracking safari
Today you drive back to Kampala or to Entebbe for your drop to the airport. Lunch is en-route and you will reach Kampala or the airport in the afternoon.
