3 Days Gorilla trekking Uganda safari to Bwindi Impenetrable forest –Gorilla tracking tour Uganda
This 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari is a magical lifetime experience to the jungle forests of Bwindi impenetrable National park. The gorilla trekking tour is tailor made for you thereby meeting with half of the world’s remaining gentle giants (mountain gorillas). This is all found deep down in their natural habitat, Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
The safari usually starts from Kampala /Entebbe or your choice of residence to south western Uganda through the districts of Wakiso, Masaka and Mbarara. The journey is long with lots of the country’s beautiful scenery along the way, although it is much more rewarding.
On your Gorilla trekking day in this gorilla haven Bwindi, you are allocated to groups of 8 trekkers per group and assigned a ranger guide. With Bwindi having more than 10 gorilla families, an hour is what is allowed for you to meet and interact with a habituated gorilla family. Taking pictures, watching the juveniles play with each other and their human expressions make the experience even more astonishing.
After this, get rewarded with a gorilla trekking certificate with your name on it by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. A song from the locals for the support towards conversation of these mountain gorillas is melodious to your ears.
Note: A gorilla trekking permit must be obtained by every visitor atleast 4 months before the trek from the Uganda wildlife Authority. This allows you to track the gorillas in either one of the regions of Bwindi Forest namely Buhoma, Nkuringo, Rushaga, or Ruhiga. Today, gorilla tracking is on a high demand so you need to book your permit as soon as you confirm your travel dates.
