9 Days Wildlife and Gorilla Safari
One this 9 days wildlife and gorilla safari, you will trek deep into the Bwindi Impenetrable National park and stand eye to eye with a 250kg critically endangered mountain gorilla, see wild elephants in Queen Elizabeth National park, see the famous zebra population in lake Mburo and track our closest relatives the chimps in Kibale National park.
Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo national park
The tour starts with Lake Mburo National park where you will reach in the afternoon for la delicious lunch. In the evening, drive through the wild looking for animals like the zebras, elands, and so much more the park has to offer. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 2: Morning Game drive and Boat ride
This is yet another exciting day, start with a game drive in the morning searching for animals like impala, topi and much more. In the afternoon, have a boat ride over lake Mburo sighting different birds flying over the lake, wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles to mention but a few.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National park
Check out of Lake Mburo for Kibale National park the city of chimps. Lunch en-route and expect to reach in the late afternoon. Rest-off the waiting for an amazing chimp tracking day.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking day and Bigodi Swamp walk
Chimpanzee tracking is an exciting experience and you will be at the park headquarters early morning for briefing. Start tracking through the forest with experienced guides.
In the afternoon go for Bigodi swamp walk expecting to see other primates such as colobus monkeys, swamp lover birds and much more.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
Queen Elizabeth is another park which will give you a whole different experience. Arrive in the afternoon for lunch.
In the evening, do an amazing game drive looking for wild elephants, buffaloes, etc. come back for dinner and stay
Day 6: Morning Game drive and Boat ride
Each game drive is a rewarding experience and this drive will give you a chance to see the early risers in the wild.
In the afternoon go a boat ride on the famous kazinga channel gifted with lots of wildlife including hippos, elephants taking water etc. This marks the end of your day
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park going through Queen Elizabeth while spotting wildlife on your way. Reach in time for lunch and rest-off the rest of the evening in an African setting.
Day 8: Best Gorilla tracking day
On this day, go to the park headquarters in the morning for a briefing. Trek through the impenetrable forest and come eye to eye with a 500 pound mountain gorilla. Take photos and learn about them.
In the afternoon, opt for a community visit to see the African lifestyle people survive in.
Day 9: End of Safari
The marks the end of this wonderful adventure and you will drive back to Kampala to your place of choice. Lunch en-route and a stop at the equator which will make your imagination run wild.
